Privacy Policy
Privacy Notice
This site belongs to Chiang Lin, architect and curator.
It is a place for projects, essays and a few poems.
It is not built to collect you.
What I collect
When you write to me through the contact form,
I receive what you choose to share: your name,
your email address and the content of your message.
Nothing more is asked for, and nothing is required
beyond what is needed to reply.
This site is hosted on Wix. Like most websites,
the platform records technical data such as IP address,
browser type, device, pages visited and time stamps,
and uses cookies to keep the site working
and to produce aggregated statistics.
I see these figures only as totals, never as individuals.
Wix's own privacy policy governs how the platform handles that data.
Why I collect it
To answer your message.
To discuss a project, a talk or an interview, if that is why you wrote.
To understand, in general terms, which pages are read.
How long, and where
Messages are kept for as long as our conversation is open,
and for a reasonable period afterwards
in case we return to it. I do not sell, rent
or hand your data to anyone for marketing.
Data is processed in Taiwan and on the servers
of the hosting platform, which may be located abroad.
Your rights
Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act,
you may ask to see, copy, correct or delete
the data I hold about you,
or ask me to stop using it.
Write to [email address] and I will do so.
If you prefer not to share your details,
simply do not use the form.
The rest of the site remains open to you.
Cookies
You can decline non-essential cookies
through the banner on your first visit,
or clear them in your browser at any time.
Changes
If this notice changes, the revised version
will appear here with a new date.
